Tour Itinerary
Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your Hangzhou downtown hotel at 9:00 am. Begin by exploring the 1,400-year-old Drum Tower. On the upper observation deck, you can try your hand at playing the drum as it was traditionally done.
Next, proceed to the Official Kiln Museum of the Southern Song Dynasty, located on the site of one of Hangzhou's five renowned kilns from 800 years ago. View part of the excavation and enjoy exhibitions of exquisite chinaware and ceramics that have been unearthed, as well as stunning Chinese porcelain from over the centuries.
Note: The Official Kiln Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Savor a meal at a nearby restaurant, where you can sample local Hangzhou dishes and experience their unique flavors. Your guide will assist in ordering based on your preferences.
After lunch, visit Qinghefang Pedestrian Street, the only well-preserved ancient street in Hangzhou, still retaining its historic charm. Stroll along and explore a variety of crafts, food, and products.
Then, head to Huqingyu Tang Chinese Traditional Medicine Museum, the nation’s sole museum dedicated to traditional and herbal medicine. Witness demonstrations by skilled staff on preparing medicines, and even sample some if interested.
Conclude your tour by returning to your hotel in Hangzhou.
