Eduard's Feedback on 14-Day China Tour

By and large we really enjoyed the trip and of course, as usual, the top highlight was the Meili Snow Mountains (Mt. Kawagarbo etc.). Songsalin Monastery, Pudacuo Natl. Park, the Kawagarpo mountain range and thew beautiful Baima mountains (on the way from Shangrila to Meli Songtsam Hotel) were most memorable attractions on the itinerary.

We had a very memorable vacation given the fact that it varied between the lowlands (Guilin), mountainous areas in Guizhou and the South Western end of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau (Hengduan mountains).

By and large we really enjoyed the trip and of course, as usual, the top highlight was the Meili Snow Mountains (Mt. Kawagarbo etc.). Songsalin Monastery, Pudacuo Natl. Park, the Kawagarpo mountain range and thew beautiful Baima mountains (on the way from Shangrila to Meli Songtsam Hotel) were most memorable attractions on the itinerary.

The Tibetan guide on the last part of the trip was the most outstanding tour guides but equally well the young lady in Guizhou. All drivers showed their very good skill but really outstanding was the driver in Shangrila and Deqing. Super safe and really experienced. It was perhaps the best driver we ever had in China.

All hotels - even the one in Kaili - were of high standard. Of course we enjoyed most the Songsam hotels in Shangrila and Deqing (Songsam Meli Hotel).

As Guilin, for the Li river cruise in Guilin, it was nice but the meals offered were poor. Personally I did not eat anything.

The lifting of the clouds at the Kawagarbo range after we were told by the management of the hotel that nothing could be seen for at least 3 weeks before we arrived. Unforgettable view and a real Wow factor.
