Teresa's Feedback on 9-Day China Tour

Greg and I would like to take a moment to express our thanks to Lilly, our fabulous guide in Beijing!Right from when she collected us from the train station, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions, and we had many! We learnt so much about the history of China and its people.

We got home safe and well and are back at work. The holiday seems so long ago now.

Greg and I would like to take a moment to express our thanks to Lilly, our fabulous guide in Beijing!

Right from when she collected us from the train station, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions, and we had many! We learnt so much about the history of China and its people. She enlightened and educated us.

During the course of our long days, Lilly was considerate of our need to rest, eat (and we eat lots) or drink at all times. She cared a great deal about our comfort and went over and above what we expected. Some examples:

1.She always ensured we had fresh, cool water.

2.When visiting the Forbidden City, it was a very hot day. Lilly insisted we stay under the shade of a tree whilst she lined up and wrestled the crowds for our tickets.

3.When we climbed the Great Wall, Lilly saw that the toboggan line would be over an hour’s wait for tickets so she lined up whilst we climbed one of the most impressive structures in the world.

4.After climbing the Great Wall, the restaurant where we had lunch was very busy and there was a group of 20 people who were going to be served ahead of us. Lilly went and 'fought'for our fish so that we would not have to wait.She was a true champion!

Lilly's English was also excellent, and more importantly, she understood the context of our questions and was therefore able to answer them intelligently, and have a laugh with us too.

Thank you Lilly, you made our trip to Beijing a memorable one and we hope you make it to Australia some day. You were incredibly polite, caring and well mannered and we appreciated it very much.
