Natural beauties and rich human culture exist harmoniously in Guilin and the surrounding regions to create breathtaking sceneries and atmospheres. On this tour, you will explore the city and the countryside by both water and land by relaxing on a Li River cruise, cycling through the rural landscapes, meeting with local families, and discovering the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy.
Once you arrive in Guilin, we will receive you at the airport and take you to your hotel for the day. You will have the rest of the day to do as you wish.

In the morning, you will explore some famous sights in the city. Elephant Trunk Hill is a rock formation that juts out of the mountain and dips into the river, forming an arch that resembles and elephant enjoying a drink. Continue on to Reed Flute Cave, a 240 meter deep grotto with tall reeds growing at its entrance which are used to make typical musical instruments. Because of the beautiful rock formations inside, the cave is known to be the most gorgeous in the area. You will see grotesquely shaped stalagmites, stalactites, pillars, and other forms lit up with lights of all hues of the rainbow, making for impressive scenes.
Venture with your guide to Daxu Ancient Town in the afternoon. It is a historical attraction dating back to the Qin Dynasty. Today, you will mostly see Ming and Qing Dynasty constructions, both residential and landmarks, which glow with heritage. There is an old street that runs 2 kilometers along the Li River, and as with the other walkways in Daxu Ancient Town, it is paved with eternal stone blocks. Walking around, you will see various temples, halls, bridges, and courtyards.
| Guilin Lijiang Waterfall Hotel | Guilin Park Hotel Today, you will have a full day experience along the Li River on a cruise. In the morning, we will take you to Mopanshan Pier to embark your cruise vessel. For the most of the day, you will sail down the Li River about 83 kilometers (52 miles) between Guilin and Yangshou. It will largely be a landscape viewing experience as you observe the water buffalo drinking at the banks, birds diving into the water to fish for food, limestone mountain shadows rising steeply above you creating optical illusions, agricultural paddies growing fresh produce, and much more. The green of the nearby hills contrast well with the hues of the river and each bend of the Li River offers a new aesthetic to behold.
| Yangshuo Mountain Retreat | Yangshuo Village Inn Do a bicycle excursion around Yangshuo's countryside in the morning. Just 10 minutes outside of Yangshou's traffic-lined streets, you will find yourself in the elegant countryside with wide rice paddy fields, the continious mountains and water buffalo meandering in the fields. Make a stop en route to meet with a local family and hear firsthand what life is really like in the countryside. Enjoy a fine lunch at a local restaurant then.
Later in the afternoon, we will take you to Guilin airport for your outbound journey. We hope you enjoyed your time discovering rural China with us!
We use different hotels for different tour classes while the itinerary is the same. Deluxe Class is usually staying at a 5-star hotel, Superior Class at a 4-star hotel and Tourist Class at a 3-star level hotel. The prices for one person are based on sharing twin hotel rooms with another guest. A supplement is necessary if you want to book single rooms. And the prices may rise during national holidays, such as the National Day (September 30th to October 6th) and Chinese New Year (late January or early February)

They know the best places to visit, can give you advice on restaurants that serve great local food, the best places to shop, or theaters for the best shows in town.
We use the modern air-conditioned luxury cars for families or 2-3 persons and small buses for small groups of 4-7 persons.
