Hangzhou Buddhist Temples Day Tour
Hangzhou is just a short distance from Shanghai so it makes for an ideal daytrip from Shanghai. Your guide and driver will pick up from your hotel in Hangzhou at around 9am for your one day Buddhist Temples Tour.
We will first visit Lingyin Temple which is the oldest Buddhist monastery in South Eastern China. The Flying Peak, located in front of the temple proper, is an outstanding Buddhist grotto site, in which are engraved numerous Buddha images.
After lunch, continue our visit to Faxi Temple (法喜寺), which is also named Upper Tianzhu Temple and is one of the three Temples on Tianzhu Hill with a history of more than 1,000 years. The other two are Fajing Temple(法净寺) and Fajing Temple(法镜寺). The temples are similar from a Buddhist standpoint and their histories are similar. They attract many worshippers and pilgrims.
Our last stop is Jingci Temple which is the second most prominent Buddhist temple around the West Lake. It hosts one of Ten Scenes of West Lake, "Evening Bell Ringing at the Nanping Hill"(南屏晚钟), for long-lasting sound of bell.
