Hangzhou Shopping Day Tour
Do you want to buy a good example of a typical local product but you haven’t a clue what to get or where to buy it in Hangzhou? This private, fully guided shopping tour will take you to the best places to buy silk, tea and other local specialties which are the highlights of local Hangzhou products.
Pick up at your hotel at around 8:30am and your one day shopping tour starts. First we head to Hangzhou China Silk Town. The Silk Town features the former Ming style and there are over 100 silk stores selling silk fabrics, clothes, artworks, souvenirs, neckties, scarves and various raw materials. After lunch, we will visit Meijiawu Tea Plantation. Meijiawu has long been well known for its Longjing (Dragon Well) Tea tradition. Enjoy a demonstration of how tea is grown, harvested and processed, and taste this famous tea in a delightful outdoor garden. Samples are displayed in the shop. Our last stop is Qinghefang Pedestrian Street, a street with numerous old stores dating back over the centuries. Many antique workshops, tea houses and Chinese herbal stores still operate in the same traditional way that dates back to the days of the Song Dynasty(960—1279). You can also visit some small museums specializing in coins, china and antiques if you are interested. After the tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel.
