One Day Tour of Ancient Culture of Xi'an
We will pick you up at your hotel and begin your tour. Your first stop will be Wild Goose Pagoda built in the year 652 during the Tang Dynasty. This destination is most known for being the place where monk Xuanzang stored the religious works he collected in India over a period of 17 years and later transported all the way to China.
Continue to visit Xi'an city wall. The wall was used as fortification and protection for the old capital city, where soldiers were able to see if enemies were approaching and respond efficiently. There are 98 ramparts as part of the Xian city wall which you will be able to see. A biking excursion at the top rim of the construction will give you a more intimate experience and also offer you great views of the city from above.
After lunch, your guide will assist you to the Shaanxi History Museum, the top historical museum in the province. There are priceless relics (including many pots and figurines) from prehistory and those from the Tang and Han Dynasties as they took place in Shaanxi. The Museum is well signed with many labels in English, but for any missing descriptions, you guide will be able to help translate. Return to your hotel at the end of your tour.
