Tour Itinerary

8:30–10:30 Transfer from Your Hotel in Shanghai to Suzhou

Your private tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your Shanghai hotel at approximately 8:30 a.m. Your private driver will transfer you to the Lingering Garden. On the way to the garden, your guide will briefly introduce the highlights of the day trip and some interesting facts about Suzhou and Tongli.

Note: This tour included complimentary door-to-door transportation in downtown Shanghai. If outside the free zone, you'll be notified of additional payment.

10:30–12:10 Suzhou City Highlights Tour

Start with a 2-hour visit to the Lingering Garden most famous garden in southern China. The stories behind the buildings are interesting, so great to learn from the knowledgeable guide.

Next, take a rickshaw ride. You will be transferred to the Humble Administrator Garden to begin your 30-minute rickshaw ride. Your rickshaw driver will take you from the garden to Baita East Road, where you can travel through some small historic lanes. The locals still live a simple life. Your rickshaw ride will end at Shantang Cultural Street, where you will find both the most historic and fashionable parts of Suzhou.

12:20–13:20 Enjoy Lunch in a Local Restaurant

After the rickshaw ride, you will be transferred to the local restaurant for lunch.

13:30–16:30 Tongli Water Town Exploration

After lunch, your driver and tour guide will accompany you to Tongli Watertown. You will stay 2-3 hours in this town.

There is also enough time for the customer to walk through the town. The guide will help you visit Tuisi Garden, Chongben Hall, and Jiayin Hall, which represent the essence and beauty of a truly ancient town. Walk across Taiping Bridge, Jili Bridge, and Changqing Bridge and take a 20-minute gondola ride along the old waterways. All tickets are covered.
