One-Day Shanghai Layover Excursion

For international layover: after getting off the plane, go straight to the 240-hour visa-free desk and obtain the Temporary Entry Permit. The immigration officer will review your application. If approved, a Temporary Entry Permit will be stamped in your passport.

Then follow the "International Arrivals" signs to find the exit. If you're not sure, ask airport staff for directions.

Look for the guide: The guide will be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name or the name of your group on it. The sign is usually made of cardboard and is easy to see. If you don't see the guide immediately, don't worry. Look around the exit area or wait a while, or call us immediately.

Accompanied by your guide to the city: take the Maglev Train from Pudong Airport to Longyang Road in about 9 minutes. It usually takes about 10 minutes to wait for the Maglev, which is considered the fastest train in the world.

The Maglev train has a top speed of 431 km/h, and the one-way trip from Pudong Airport to Longyang Road Station takes only about 8 minutes. This is much faster than other ground transportation methods, such as subways and buses, which can save a lot of time for passengers with limited layover time and allow them to reach the city center quickly to visit attractions.

Your private car is waiting outside the Longyang Road Station to take you to Yuyuan Garden. Take a visit around the Garden for an hour-long exploration of a classical Chinese garden dating back over 400 years. Each turn within the garden unveils a unique and picturesque setting.

After your tour in Shanghai, your private car will take you back to Puong Airport (1 hour). You can relax and enjoy the ride with enough space for your bags. The driver will make sure you get to the airport on time for your onward flight. Make sure you have 2-3 hours left before the plane departs.

Note: If you arrive in Shanghai after 12 pm and leave at night, you can choose to take a Huangpu River Cruise instead of Yuyuan Garden. You can enjoy an impressive view of the Shanghai night skyline from the boat.
